The AWS SES extension allows CiviCRM to integrate with Amazon’s Simple Email Service (SES) for sending emails, while handling bounce and complaint messages automatically. When installed, it processes reports from AWS SES about emails that fail (bounces) or that people mark as spam (complaints), and records that information in CiviCRM so your mailing lists stay cleaner and email statistics stay accurate. It uses AWS’s native bounce and complaint types rather than trying to force them into CiviCRM’s default categories.
