PCRS Streamlines Conference Management with CiviCRM

PCRS has used CiviCRM since 2015 and their system has grown over the years to integrate new CiviCRM features and make the most of the system. Recently, this has meant fully integrate all aspects of our annual conference into CiviCRM. Previously, external conference apps (we used Guidebook) were used to provide delegates with onsite information to avoid the need for paper. However, the costs for using apps became unaffordable, and we created an “event dashboard” within the logged in area of our website which enabled delegates to access everything about the event includes speaker slides post conference. We also integrated with Twilio to send SMS reminders throughout the conference and keep everyone up to date with the busy programme.

CiviCase was utilised for Abstract management from submission, to peer review, to acceptance and to ensure we have a nominated person on site for the conference. With an average of 80 submissions per conference, it is important to ensure each abstract author and presenter have all the details required for their posters, presentations and online listing which is automatically published on the website from their submission. The administrative time saved for the team is huge.
