How Velt Transformed Its Operations with CiviCRM for a Sustainable Future

Velt ( Vereniging voor Ecologisch Leven en Tuinieren) is the society for everyone that wants to focus on gardening in a sustainable and ecological fashion. Velt has been promoting a sustainable and ecological lifestyle in house, graden en kitchen in The Netherlands and Belgium for the last 50 years.

We started with our implementation of CiviCRM in 2018 with the main focus on our processes rather than on the systems we were used to. It was quite a heavy project for an organization of the size of Velt, replacing our core systems with CiviCRM and a Drupal website. But we went live without too much hassle.

The support we had from CiviCooP in this process was vital and continues to do so up to today. They are not your classical supplier but focus much more on consulting and coaching. Leading to us not getting the system we asked for but the system we really need to support our mission in the next 10 years and beyond.

CiviCRM is now the central back-office system for our administration. Automated processing of new members and membership fees, donations, crowdfunding campaigns, orders from our co-purchase actions, it all goes through Civi. Also the administration of our local Velt groups: registering activities, volunteers, sending newsletters, here too CiviCRM is the heart of the
automation.
