How ITS UK Increased Membership and Halved Churn Using CiviPlus
Intelligent Transport Systems UK (ITS UK), the industry association for transport technology, transformed its membership operations by implementing CiviPlus, a SaaS platform built on CiviCRM. Moving away from fragmented spreadsheets and disconnected tools, the organisation unified membership management, events, communications and reporting into a single system. This gave the team a clear, real-time view of their community and significantly reduced manual administration.
Since adopting the platform, ITS UK has grown its membership from 150 to 196 organisations while nearly halving member churn. Engagement has also improved, with 93% of events rated Excellent or Very Good and 78% of members relying on newsletters as their primary source of information.
The success of the project was recognised at the 2026 Trade Association Forum Awards, where ITS UK and CiviPlus won Best Association/Supplier Partnership, highlighting the impact of a well-implemented CiviCRM-based solution.
