Greenpeace in Central and Eastern Europe

Greenpeace is an international environmental organization that fights for the protection of our planet with non-violent actions.

Greenpeace in Central and Eastern Europe (Greenpeace CEE) switched from a proprietary software solution to the open-source software CiviCRM in 2016 and has since built up its own team of developers to make its work with donation data more efficient. This has resulted in a highly professional and sustainable system for fundraising, communication and don or management:

• With the CiviBanking extension , bank transactions are automatically transferred to CiviCRM. That’s around 5 0,000 bookings a year, 89% of which are (partially) automated. This saves valuable resources and time that the organization can use efficiently.
• Proprietary software providers come and go. But the organization retains full control over its data in the future and can improve and redesign all related processes.
• Greenpeace CEE has also actively contributed to the open-source project CiviCRM, such as development of the SQL Tasks extension , a n invaluable win for all organizations using CiviCRM.
