Founded in 1906, the Guild of Book Workers (GBW) is a national nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the book arts—including bookbinding, conservation, calligraphy, and fine printing. With members ranging from seasoned professionals to emerging artists, GBW fosters a vibrant community through exhibitions, workshops, and its annual Standards of Excellence seminar.
To effectively manage its diverse activities and membership, GBW leverages CiviCRM, to enable the Guild to streamline event registrations, membership renewals, and communications, ensuring a cohesive experience for members across its ten regional chapters.
By utilizing CiviCRM, GBW maintains a centralized database that supports efficient coordination of national and chapter-level initiatives. This integration enhances the organization’s ability to engage with its community, promote educational opportunities, and uphold the rich traditions of the book arts.
Through the strategic use of CiviCRM, the Guild of Book Workers continues to connect and inspire individuals passionate about the art and craft of the book.
