IUCN Leaders Forum Integrated Event Microsite
Created in 1948, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is now the world’s largest and most diverse environmental network, harnessing the knowledge, resources and reach of our more than 1,400 Member organizations and 15,000 experts, active in over 160 countries globally.
Working with many partners and supporters, IUCN implements a large and diverse portfolio of conservation projects worldwide. These projects combine the latest science with traditional knowledge of local communities to work to reverse habitat loss, restore ecosystems and improve people’s well-being.
For IUCN’s annual Leaders Forum, iXiam was tasked with creating an event specific microsite with CiviCRM integration.
Solutions
- Integrated micro-event site to main IUCN CRM for unified data management. ensuring any general and event specific information is stored in the standard and custom fields in IUCN CRM.
- Checked user demographic data from IUCN CRM (low, middle, high income) to perform variable based pricing and carbon offset fees for in-person and virtual attendees.
- Used single sign on (SSO) with the main IUCN CiviCRM to pre-populate constituent data prior to completing registration.
- Multiple registration types covering general attendees, media, speakers, staff, complimentary attendees. We used the Stripe payment processor integration for general attendee payments.
- Creating views for the main programme, individual sessions, and speakers with search and filtering for event related information.
- Custom fields selectively displayed depending on the view type and section.
- API integration with cvent to push all event relevant information to the virtual platform.
