CiviMember Instrumental In Providing Association Members Exclusive Benefits

The Construction Employers Association (CEA) member companies work in the construction industry. The association provides resources and professional development opportunities. When CEA developed a new tool for calculating construction site safety ratings to meet OSHA standards, they needed a simple and secure way for members to access the information. They enlisted the help of BackOffice Thinking who developed and implemented a plan to use CiviMember and their existing Drupal website to design an online portal, accessible only to members.
Membership management with CiviCRM offered an opportunity to expand the benefits CEA offered its members. BackOffice Thinking configured CiviMember to provide access to the rating tool along with other exclusive content:

  • A dashboard for updating subscription preferences and contact information
  • A portal for catching up on the latest association news
  • A single place to register for events and view past attendance
  • A resource library of tools and training content

The website pages are responsive to make it easy for busy members to access their benefits using their phones. The CiviCRM configuration was intentionally designed for later functionality additions, to create options for expanding member content over time. Now, CEA members have easy access to the rating tool and great membership benefits, increasing their engagement with the association.
